I've been a regular customer of this coffee roaster since I first came across them at a local market. Although New Zealand has a strong espresso culture, I buy whole beans and enjoy drip brewing. Although it depends on the timing, the process from ordering to receiving is smooth so I think its a good idea for tourists to contact them! I look forward to doing business with them again.

This was a great way to try your coffee! [The trial pack of 3 blends each 100 g] Its hard to choose a favourite, but I think its between Meteor and Aurora. All three are so good though.

When you find a yummy coffee blend ... You buy in bulk π
First tried this coffee in June on a trip to tekapo, and just recently purchased some more plunger blend online π
They do plunger, whole beans, espresso and stovetop blends and I highly rate the aurora π€€
If you're in tekapo be sure to check them out or better yet, buy online!!! You won't regret it!@michymoocow

I wanted to do a shout out to the good people at our local Tekapo coffee roasters, Southern Sky Roasters I didn't know we had our own local coffee roasters here until I saw their stall at one of the local markets a few months ago. Since then I've been buying their coffee at the local garage, but when I popped in yesterday they didn't have any of the espresso grind left. So I emailed and within about half an hour I had a reply back from owner Martina who said she'd be happy to get some ready for me and when did I need it by? I picked up my order yesterday afternoon, and ready to kick off the working day now with a good cuppa coffee! Thank you

We had the pleasure of visiting Martina & John in their coffee roastery while travelling through New Zealand. As soon as you enter the roasting room, you are greeted by a wonderful aroma.
They source their beans Fairtrade and organic from Christchurch and then roast and grind them in their own small roastery at home.
Their hospitality is excellent - we were immediately invited to sample the coffee in their home. For coffee lovers, this little spot on Lake Tekapo is a real insider tip for learning more about the world of coffee and discovering these delicious beans.
Conclusion: If you are looking for exceptional coffee and a personalised, professional service, you should definitely stop by Martina & John.
The coffee we took back to Germany is also loved by all our friends here, because every sip makes us happy! -

Don't regret leaving Christchurch without buying good coffee beans. Although it's the only roastery in the Tekapo area, they sell fresh and well-balanced beans. If you're a romantic who knows how to brew your own coffee while traveling in a campervan, you should definitely visit this place. It looks like a typical New Zealand rural home, but they were very kind when I asked for coffee. I bought some for myself and gifts for my friends! Bless Southern Sky Roasters!
