It’s been a busy and exciting time at Southern Sky Roasters. Lately, we’ve had lots of coffee lovers popping in to check out our roastery and leave with bags of their favourite coffee. It’s been a mix of tourists passing through searching for micro roasteries and people who’ve found us online - we love meeting new faces and sharing what we do!
And onto the big news: John has recently stepped out of his full-time teaching career to work locally, giving him more time to put his energy into our wee coffee roastery.
While this means he’s no longer making the daily commute to Twizel, we’re still keeping our friends there well supplied. We head over to Twizel once a week (on Mondays) to deliver coffee to businesses and individuals.

With all the Tekapo news out of the way, here’s a little update from me. Here in Dunedin, there are fresh changes ahead too. I’m starting a new job next month (exciting!) and am looking forward to spring finally rolling around. Warmer weather means sunny weekend runs, bike rides, and hopefully some beach time too.
So that’s us for now - some exciting changes, a lot of coffee, and plenty to look forward to.
